The Turning Point
 The Turning Point: During my concert tour of Brazil in 2001, the idea developed to record these songs with a different flavor than the Bengali and Indian style Kirtan for which I am known. The result was a turning point in my presentation of Kirtan. This CD is also the beginning of a series of CDs called “Vaiyasaki & Friends” where I will introduce up-and-coming kirtaniyas to the world-wide Kirtan community. In this first volume, I am pleased to introduce the young Brazilian Kirtaniya, Amala Kirtan Das, who grew up listening to my music.
