Kirtan CDs

Kirtana is the heart or essence of Bhakti. Kirtana means to share, to celebrate, to praise, and to glorify. The different ragas or melodies in a kirtana create different moods of spiritual feelings - from great joy of intimate association, to deep spiritual lamentation on separation from God.

Kirtana is not merely a musical performance in which singers and musicians exercise their skills before a passive audience. Kirtana is a two-way street, a coming together based on a oneness of purpose. When we engage in kirtana, we create sacred space and invite one another to enter into that space.

Vaiyasaki Das CDs are classic kirtana style that you can sing along with. The traditional instruments harmonium, flute, mridanga, and kartals, provide beautiful accompaniment for these classic devotional hymns. See Selection of CDs
